WHEREAS, Todd Meneely was a former University of Nebraska at Omaha
wrestler, a three-time National Collegiate Athletic Association Division II
national wrestling champion, and a four-time Nebraska State Wrestling Champion
at Omaha Skutt Catholic High School; and
WHEREAS, Todd's legacy extended beyond the mat and he served as a mentor
and coach to young athletes; and
WHEREAS, Todd passed away on January 7, 2026, from injuries sustained in a
car accident; and
WHEREAS, Todd was the proud father of Breckin and Truin Meneely; and
WHEREAS, the Legislature recognizes Todd's athletic achievements, his
contributions to the Omaha community, and the impact he had on the lives of
those he coached and inspired.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MEMBERS OF THE ONE HUNDRED NINTH
LEGISLATURE OF NEBRASKA, SECOND SESSION:
1. That the Legislature expresses condolences to the family, friends, and
community of Todd Meneely.
2. That a copy of this resolution be sent to the family of Todd Meneely.
