ONE HUNDRED NINTH LEGISLATURE
SECOND SESSION
LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION 319
Introduced by Hughes, 24.
WHEREAS, the 2025 Great Plains Athletic Conference Soccer Championship was
held on November 11, 2025, at Bulldog Stadium in Seward, Nebraska; and
WHEREAS, the Concordia University Bulldogs defeated the Morningside
College Mustangs 2-1 after an uncommon season and slow start to the conference;
and
WHEREAS, this is the Bulldogs first time in program history that the Great
Plains Athletic Conference Championship title was won at the Bulldog's home
stadium; and
WHEREAS, such a team achievement is made possible through the support of
teachers, administrators, parents, and the community; and
WHEREAS, the Legislature recognizes the academic, athletic, and artistic
achievements of the collegiate students of our state.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MEMBERS OF THE ONE HUNDRED NINTH
LEGISLATURE OF NEBRASKA, SECOND SESSION:
1. That the Legislature recognizes the Concordia University men's soccer
team for winning the 2025 Great Plains Athletic Conference Soccer Championship
title.
2. That a copy of this resolution be sent to the Concordia University
men's soccer team.
