ONE HUNDRED NINTH LEGISLATURE
SECOND SESSION
LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION 320
Introduced by Spivey, 13; McKinney, 11.
WHEREAS, the Omaha North High Magnet School girls varsity basketball team
achieved an outstanding athletic accomplishment by winning the Metro Holiday
Tournament; and
WHEREAS, the Metro Holiday Tournament is one of the most competitive high
school basketball tournaments in Nebraska, featuring top programs from across
the Omaha metropolitan area; and
WHEREAS, the Omaha North Lady Vikings defeated Omaha Westview by a score
of 56 to 43 in the championship game to secure the tournament title; and
WHEREAS, under the leadership of head coach Michaela Dailey the Lady
Vikings demonstrated exceptional teamwork, discipline, and perseverance
throughout the tournament; and
WHEREAS, the success of the Omaha North varsity girls basketball program
reflects the dedication of its student-athletes, coaching staff, families,
educators, and the broader Omaha community; and
WHEREAS, the Legislature recognizes the academic, athletic, and artistic
achievements of the youth of our state.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MEMBERS OF THE ONE HUNDRED NINTH
LEGISLATURE OF NEBRASKA, SECOND SESSION:
1. That the Legislature congratulates the Omaha North High Magnet School
girls varsity basketball team on winning the Metro Holiday Tournament.
2. That a copy of this resolution be sent to Omaha North High Magnet
School to commemorate this significant achievement.
