ONE HUNDRED NINTH LEGISLATURE
SECOND SESSION
LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION 358
Introduced by Murman, 38.
WHEREAS, the 2025 Nebraska School Activities Association Class D-1
Football Championship was held on November 24, 2025, in Lincoln, Nebraska; and
WHEREAS, the Sandy Creek Cougars football team competed for the Class D-1
State Football Championship and defeated the Crofton Warriors with a score of
66 to 26, earning the program its second state football championship; and
WHEREAS, the Sandy Creek Cougars are back-to-back Class D-1 State Football
Champions; and
WHEREAS, such a team achievement is made possible through the support of
teachers, administrators, parents, and the community; and
WHEREAS, the Legislature recognizes the academic, athletic, and artistic
achievements of the youth of our state.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MEMBERS OF THE ONE HUNDRED NINTH
LEGISLATURE OF NEBRASKA, SECOND SESSION:
1. That the Legislature recognizes and congratulates the Sandy Creek
Cougars football team on winning the 2025 Nebraska School Activities
Association Class D-1 State Football Championship.
2. That a copy of this resolution be sent to the Sandy Creek Cougars
football team and Coach Andrew Kuta.
