ONE HUNDRED NINTH LEGISLATURE
SECOND SESSION
LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION 373
Introduced by Nebraska Retirement Systems Committee: Ballard, 21, Chairperson;
Clements, 2; Hardin, 48; Juarez, 5; Sorrentino, 39.
PURPOSE: The purpose of this resolution is to propose an interim study to
carry out the provisions of section 13-2402, which requires the Nebraska
Retirement Systems Committee to monitor underfunded defined benefit plans
administered by political subdivisions. The study shall include a public
hearing for the presentation of reports by political subdivisions with
underfunded defined benefit plans.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MEMBERS OF THE ONE HUNDRED NINTH
LEGISLATURE OF NEBRASKA, SECOND SESSION:
1. That the Nebraska Retirement Systems Committee of the Legislature shall
be designated to conduct an interim study to carry out the purposes of this
resolution.
2. That the committee shall upon the conclusion of its study make a report
of its findings, together with its recommendations, to the Legislative Council
or Legislature.
