Subject: Authority of the Wyoming Community College Commission to participate in the state authorization reciprocity agreement. Summary/Major Elements: The bill requires the Wyoming Community College Commission enter into the state authorization reciprocity agreement with the Western Interstate Co mmission for Higher Education . The bill allows the Wyoming Community College Commission to license public and private post-secondary institutions with a physical presence in Wyoming seeking to operate under the provisions of the state authorization reciprocity agreement. The bill specifies requirements for post-secondary institutions seeking licensure under the act and charges the Wyoming Community College Commission with monitoring the institutional quality, consumer protection and fiscal viability of the institutions operating pursuant to the agreement. Institutions seeking licensure under the specific provisions of the act are exempt from the licensure requirements for private post-secondary schools under the oversight of the Wyoming Department of Education.
