Summary/Major Elements: Under prior law, no individual, other th an a candidate or the candidate’ s immediate family, was allowed to make t otal poli tical contr ibutions of more than $50,000 in any two - year period of time. This limit was known as Wyoming’ s aggreg ate campaign contribution limit. This legislation r epeals Wyoming’s aggregate campaign contribution limit in accordance with recent case law from the United States Supreme Court which indicates the aggr egate limit is unconstitutional. Comments: The repeal of the aggregate campaign contribution limit does not impact other, individual campaign contribution limits established by W.S. 22-25-102.
