Subject: Modifies process for adoption of the educational student and content performance standards. Summary/Major Elements: This bill requires the State Board of Education, in consultation with the State S uperintendent, to establish a process to accept public comments between the times of formal review by the S tate B oard. This bill requires the State Board of Education to evaluate and review the uniformity and quality of the student and content performance standards not less than once every nine (9) years. Previously, the law re quired the State B oard to review the standards not less than once every five (5) years. Comments: Amends a major program: adop tion of statewide educational student and content performance standards.
