Summary for LSO115 Bill No.: HB0136 Effective : 7/1/2015 LSO No.: 15LSO-0388 Enrolled Act No.: HEA 31 Chapter No.: 53 Prime Sponsor: Madden Catch Title: Interstate game tag exemption-meat processors. Subject: Interstate game tag exemption for meat processing plants. Summary/Major Elements: Under current law, no person may ship, transport or receive for shipment or transportation within Wyoming any game animal, game bird, or any part thereof, unless tagged with a Wyoming game tag or Wyoming interstate game tag or otherwise exempted by law. This bill exempts meat processing plants shipping edible portions of big game animals or game birds to another meat processing plant from the requirement to obtain a Wyoming game tag or interstate game tag. This bill exempts meat processing plants shipping any game animal, game bird or any part thereof to the licensee who harvested the animal from the requirement to obtain a Wyoming game tag or interstate game tag when the shipment is accompanied by the proper coupon.
