Summary for LSO115 Bill No.: HJ0007 Effective : 3/2/2015 LSO No.: 15LSO-0446 Enrolled Act No.: HEJR 1 Chapter No.: N/A Prime Sponsor: Burkhart Catch Title: Bear lodge project. Subject: Resolution in support of Rare Element Resources’ Bear Lodge Critical Rare Earth Project. Summary/Major Elements: Rare Element Resources proposed a rare earth minerals mine on lands managed by the United States Forest Ser vice in Crook County, Wyoming ( Bear Lodge Project). The Bear Lodge Project was originally scheduled to begin commissioning in the fourth quarter of 2016 but has been delayed by the United States Forest Service in preparing the draft environmental impact statement. This resolution is to the United States Secretary of Agriculture and the Chief of the United States Forest Service. This resolution encourages the United States Secretary of Agriculture and the Chief of the United States Forest Service to understand the strategic national importance of the unique mineral resources to be produced from the Bear Lodge Project. This resolution expresses support for the timely and scheduled completion of the Bear Lodge Project environmental impact statement to allow Rare Element Resources to begin commissioning in 2016.
