Summary for LSO115 Bill No.: SF0092 Effective : 7/1/2015 LSO No.: 15LSO-0414 Enrolled Act No.: SEA 48 Chapter No.: 133 Prime Sponsor: Coe Catch Title: Worker's compensation-county elected officials. Subject: Worker’ s compensation coverage for county officials. Summary/Major Elements: Under current la w, an employer may elect worker’ s compensation coverage for specified employees not otherwise c overed under the Wyoming Worker’ s Compensation Act. Elected public officials, with the exception of a duly elected or appointed sheriff or coroner, are expressly excluded from those employees who may qua lify for this optional coverage. This bill creates an exception and allows a duly elected or appointed county official to be covered under the Worker’ s Compensa tion Act if the county official’ s employer elects coverage.
