Subject: Compensation for state legislators. Summary/Major Elements: This bill will increase the salary for legislators from $150 to $155 per day. The bill will also increase the per diem for travel expenses from $109 per day to $129 per day until January 7, 2017 , at which time the amount will be revised every two years by the S tate A uditor to equal the per diem rate determined by the G overnor for S tate employees. Comments: Has a Delayed Effective Date – July 1, 2016 and January 7, 2019. NOTE: Final action on this bill was not taken at the time this summary was prepared.
