Summary/Major Elements: The Municipal Solid Waste Facilities Cease and Transfer Program provides grants and loans for solid waste projects such as capping closed landfills or acqui ri n g new solid waste facilities and equipment. Currently, W.S. 35-11-528 allows the State Loan and Investment Board to provide grants and loans of up to seventy-five percent (75%) of a project ’ s cost s. This act allows the State Loan and Investment Board , upon recommendation by the Director of the Department of Environmental Quality, to issue grants and loans totaling up to one hundred percent (100%) of total project costs to operators of solid waste facilities who have exhausted other funding sources.
