Subject: Appropriation for cities, towns and counties Summary/Major Elements: This act appropriates $105 million to cities , towns and counties. Cities and towns receive $68 million and counties receive $37 million. F unds appropriated in the ac t are directly distributed to local governments based on various factors, including population, assessed valuation, and per capita sales and use tax collection. The appropriated funds are distributed in distributions on August 15, 2016 and January 15, 2017 for fiscal year 2017 and August 15, 2017 and January 15, 2018 for fiscal year 2018 , respectively.
