Summary for LSO115 Bill No.: HB0075 Effective : 7/1/2016 LSO No.: 16LSO-0064 Enrolled Act No.: HEA No. 0036 Chapter No.: 58 Prime Sponsor: Management Audit Committee Catch Title: Professional licensure boards. Subject: Amends general procedures for professional licensure boards related to audit requirements and compensation for the Board o f Funeral Service Practitioners Summary/Major Elements: Under current law, licensure boards that are authorized to establish fees are required to conduct period ic audits of internal controls and receipts , unless specifically exempted from the requirement . This act amends the auditing requirements for licensure boards and permits the Department of Audit or an independent audit firm to perform the audit. In addition, t he act amends auditing criteria and specifies how period ic audit i ntervals are to be determined. The act also applies the standard, uniform licensure board compensation requirements to the Board of Funeral Service Practitioners.
