Summary for LSO115 Bill No.: SF0090 Effective : 1/1/2017 LSO No.: 16LSO-0385 Enrolled Act No.: SEA No. 0020 Chapter No.: 23 Prime Sponsor: Cooper Catch Title: Lifetime game and fish licenses-purple heart recipients. Subject: Game and Fish licenses Summary/Major Elements: Under current law , the Wyoming Game and Fish Department issues lifetime bird, small game and fish licenses without charge to : H onorably discharged veterans who have resided in Wyoming for at least 30 years immediately pr ior to applying for the license; and Disabled veterans who are 100% disabled as determined by the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs. This bill provides any recipient of a U.S. military purple heart medal with documentary proof thereof also is eligible for a lifetime bird, small game and fish license . Ty pically th e documentary proof would be form DD - 214. These licenses are valid as long as the licensee remain s a Wyoming resident.
