Subject: Community health services-continued redesign efforts. Summary/Major Elements: This act amends 2021 Wyoming Session Laws, Chapter 79, which redesigned the state-funded system for providing mental illness and substance use disorder treatment, transitioning from a general access system to one that targets seven (7) specified priority populations for the delivery of state-funded services. This act modifies certain aspects of the defined priority populations, while also delaying the effective date of the redesign from July 1, 2022 to July 1, 2024. This delay allows the Department of Health and other stakeholders to continue their deliberations and make findings and recommendations for the Legislature in refining and finalizing the reform and redesign of state funded mental illness and substance use disorder system.
