Subject: Membership on the Capitol Building Rehabilitation and Restoration Oversight Group . Summary/Major Elements: This act adds the State Treasurer to the Capitol Building Rehabilitation and Restoration Oversight Group as a voting member. Additionally, the act adds two gubernatorial appointments to the Capitol Oversight Group. The act requires the Governor to choose two people f r om a list of four names submitted by the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House. The appointed members are subject to confirmation by the Senate. They must have experience with the Capitol Square P roject. The appointed members are nonvoting members and are not to be included for purposes of determining a quorum of the Capitol Oversight Group. The appointed members shall serve until the Capitol Square P roject is completed. They may receive per diem and mileage for their travel. The act provides that a portion of the existing $95,000 appropriation for the Capitol Oversight Group may be used for the appointed members' per diem and mileage.
