Subject: Legislator communications on recordings and broadcasts of legislative meetings. Summary/Major Elements: Existing law provides for confidentiality of certain communications between a legislator and legislative staff. This act provides that the recording or broadcast of a communication made by a legislator or legislative staff shall not be deemed to be confidential to the extent the communication is audible on the official legislative service office recording or broadcast of a public meeting of a joint interim committee, select committee or task force.
