Subject: Expansion of the Medication Donation Program. Summary/Major Elements: T h e Medication Donation Program is a program operated by the Department of Health that re-dispenses prescription medications to Wyoming residents who have limited resources to purchase prescription medication. The act amends the Drug Donation Program Act to expand the Medication Donation Program . The act requires the Department of Health, as part of the Medication Donation Program, to provide access to computer system s and technical assistance t o aid individuals in applying for government and private prescription drug programs and discounts such as Manufacturer Prescription Assistance Programs (MPAPs). The act authorizes additional part-time positions and appropriates additional funding to the Department of Health to expand the Medication Donation Program.
