Subject: Management council membership. Summary/Major Elements: Modifies the membership of the management council for the legislature from twelve (12) to ten (10) by decreasing the number of members selected at-large from each house and eliminates the requirement as to the at-large members' political affiliation. Provides that the senator selected at-large will be selected by a majority vote of all members of the senate, and that the representative selected at-large will be selected by a majority vote of all members of the house of representatives. Shifts the rotation of chairmanship of the management council between the house and senate, providing that the chairmanship will rotate at the conclusion of each calendar year, rather than after each legislative term. Further provides that the presiding officer of the house of which the chairman of management council is not a member will serve as the vice chairman of the management council.
