Summary/Major Elements:
The act revises the requirements to receive a complimentary lifetime bird, small game or fish license.
Under current law, the complimentary licenses may be issued to residents sixty-five (65) years of age and older who have continuously resided in the state for thirty (30) years immediately preceding application for the license, one hundred percent (100%) disabled veterans, and Purple Heart recipients.
The act amends the durational residency requirement so that a resident who is sixty-five (65) years or older who has resided in the state for thirty (30) total years after the resident's tenth birthday may receive the complimentary license. The act also clarifies that a one hundred percent (100%) disabled veteran or Purple Heart recipient must have been honorably discharged from the military and be a Wyoming resident to be eligible to receive a complimentary license.
