Has Report: No Subject: Temporary licensure of nursing home administrators. Summary/Major Elements: This act authorizes the Wyoming State Board of Nursing Home Administrators to issue temporary licenses for nursing home administrators. First, the Board may issue a temporary license to an applicant for licensure who has provided all of the information required for licensure and is awaiting the results of the applicant’s criminal history record background check. The temporary license is valid until the Board receives the results of the applicant’s criminal history record background check and issues the applicant a license or denies the application for licensure. Second, the Board may issue a temporary license to an applicant for licensure pending completion of the experience and examination requirements established by rule of the Board. The temporary license is valid for not more than six (6) months. Third, the Board may issue a temporary license to an applicant for a temporary license who, by training or experience in the field of institutional administration, the Board determines is qualified to serve as the administrator of a nursing home that does not have a licensed nursing home administrator. The temporary license is valid for not more than six (6) months. This act also specifies that the holder of a temporary license is authorized to serve as a nursing home administrator for the period that the temporary license is valid, and the holder of a temporary license is subject to the same standards of conduct imposed on license holders.
