Has Report: No Subject: Requires hospitals to list prices for medical items and services. Summary/Major Elements: This act requires all hospitals within the State to list prices for medical items and services on their websites. The Department of Health is required to monitor each hospital's compliance with this act. Noncompliant hospitals must submit and follow a corrective action plan, and if the hospitals do not comply, they will be subject to civil penalties. The Department of Health may propose any necessary recommendations for amending this act to the Legislature. The Department of Health may impose sanctions on a hospital's license if the hospital does not comply with this act. The Department of Health is required to promulgate all rules necessary to implement this act. This act has a sunset date of July 1, 2029.
