This act creates the Wyoming Office of Homeland Security. Under current law, that office is housed within the Office of the Governor.
This act transfers the Office of Homeland Security from the Office of the Governor into a separate department, the Wyoming Department of Homeland Security, on July 1, 2026.
The act specifies requirements for the transfer of functions, assets, liabilities and funds from the current office into the Wyoming Department of Homeland Security.
