Summary/Major Elements: This bill amends the sex offender registration statute to change the classification of offenders convicted of specific variations of sexual abuse of a minor in the first and second degrees from a classification which would allow them to petition a court to be removed from the sex offender registry after a certain number of years to a higher classification that does not allow for removal from the registry and that has more stringent registration requirements.
